| The Southwestern region of Iran
is popular for its tribal carpets. The majority of these carpets
are made by nomadic people who live in the Zagros mountains
and surrounding areas. Bakhtiar is a town South of Isfahan associated
with rugs that have generally dark colors: red, green, brown,
and highlights in yellows and vivid blues.
